Description
UKFC200 Series 4 Bolt Round Housings: These bearing units are supplied with a fully sealed bearing insert fitted in the 4 bolt oval cast round housing and include a grease nipple to facilitate re-lubrication. The inserts can easily be removed from the housings (by twisting them through 90 deg, for replacement as required. They can also be aligned in the housing in the same manner as the outer of the bearing insert has a spherical profile and will tolerate some degree of misalignment).
Fitting / Adjustments and Removal: The fitting and positioning process is very straightforward, simply slide the sleeve into the bearing insert (it will only go through one way leaving the threads protruding), position the lock washer with its locating lug in the groove and tabs facing outwards and then screw on the nut loosely and then position the assembled bearing onto the shaft, once the bearing is in the correct position, simply tighten the locknut to securely clamp the bearing to the shaft. Removal is the reverse of the fitting. As a result of this simple method of securing to the shaft, the bearings can be positioned precisely during installation and easily adjusted afterwards as required.
Benefits: Can be re-lubricated, replaceable bearing insert, easy fitting and adjustments, tolerates some misalignments.
Note: This housing unit is supplied without an adaptor sleeve.
