SKF SI..ES-2RS / SIA ..ES..2RS Series Rod End Bearings: This series is classed as maintenance free rod end bearings. Comprising of sliding contact surfaces of steel against steel these rod end bearings are double lip sealed to prevent ingress of dirt and moisture, they may require maintenance from time to time in the form of re-lubrication via the grease nipple in the side of the head, this will serve to extend it's life cycle. Dependent on installation design the lubricant may also be passed through the housing or spindle directly into the bearing at any point around the groove which has small holes to direct the lubricant onto the mating surfaces. These are metric sized rod end bearings. They are made of heat treatable C45V steel and zinc coated and chromatized and will operate within -30 deg C to +130 deg C. Available in Right or Left hand threads, the Left hand threaded version has a letter L in the part number to denote the difference. SIA ..ES..2RS series differ in dimensions, threads and housing heights. Application: Suitable for heavy static, shock or alternating loads. Benefits: Re-lubricate-able, double sealed. |
