Sealing rings allow circumferential speeds at the seal lip of up to 10 m\/s depending on the surface quality of the shaft. This sealing ring is made from synthetic NBR elastomer (coloured green). They are suitable for shaft diameters from 8mm to 80mm and have a rubber-encased steel reinforcement for stiffening purposes with a wave-shaped rubber profile. This provides good sealing on the outside diameter and reduces the forces required for fitting.
