FS Stainless Steel Maintenance Free Rod Ends With Female Thread: The FS stainless steel series are a steel on steel range of female rod ends incorporating a high strength PTFE bronze mesh between the ball and the liner material, suitable for high shock loads and medium to heavy mechanical load applications requiring low friction, they do not require maintenance. Temperature range -200c to +260c Benefits: High shock loads, extended wear life, no maintenance Note: These bearings will eventually corrode in a marine environment and it is recommended to completely cover with grease or similar protection where practical. Due to the material requirements of these bearings to have a hard-wearing construction, they will be made of a harder form of Stainless Steel, such as 440 or similar, which will be attracted by magnets. Quotations for non-magnetic versions are available upon request. |
