Description
Stainless Steel Flat Point Grub Screws: Grub screws are used to fix rotating parts to shafts. Flat point grub screws are used for frequent resetting or relocating. They are headless screws which are threaded through a hole on the rotating part and tightened until the hexagon grub screw is flush with the shaft. This ensures the strength of the fixing while leaving no external extrusion. Grub screws are a small but extremely important part of many drive mechanisms and other machinery which uses moving and rotating parts. These grub screws are manufactured from A4 stainless steel. A4 stainless steel is an austenitic steel and is non-magnetic. A4 stainless steel often refered to as marine grade stainless steel is suitable for marine applications, it has excellent corrosion resistance to withstand many industrial chemicals, solvents and chlorides.
Note: These set screws are designed for pressure loads and are not suitable for tensile- or shear loads.
